It's a Jig-Saw Puzzle, Wait No -- It's Almost a Chuppah!

I've been hard at work all weekend , desperately needing to show some progress. The pieces fit together if you're very careful and measure alot, and I mean alot! If you're off 1/16 or 1/8 inch - you're going to have problems.

How about this great Jinny Beyer blue "filler" scrollwork fabric? For those of you who do not know cuz you're just too young, Jinny Beyer is the "It Lady" of the quilting world, who started publishing books, patterns and her own line of fabrics, way before quilting was cool (early '80's). Oh my, I guess I've given something away here.

Anyhow, it's bedtime and I have something to show for this past weekend. The stars are in, Hurray!! There's more to go, but I can see the end in sight. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just popped into the site to show my cousin the huppah, and we found the nearly finished photo. Wow! Danyel said, "It's so pretty!" I could tell from her expression that she was amazed.

Just 2 1/2 weeks to go!

Holy cow -- the (nearly) finished version looks amazing! The Jewish starts are *perfect*, and the fabric you have in the corners is the ideal contrast for both the stars and the main central design.

It even looks spectacular all the way from London! :-)
