Canopy Under the Stars

Well the starry night sky borders are sewed on, mitered and the quilt top is already being sandwiched as a quilt as I type!!!! Hooray the wedding countdown is just two weeks from tomorrow. I might get this chuppah finished with some luck and work.


The borders are currently 6 inch, but will probably be trimmed down a bit. Final dimensions will be approximately 64" square, which is the most perfect fit for the florist's stand and it will be accommodated to the fullest extent. The florist's dimension is 65". Couldn't get much closer than that!!

Oh, I went to the quilt shop today with the completed quilt top in hand in order to purchase the perfect quilting thread. I am very pleased to say that the chuppah got a lot of oohs and aahs and congratulations, etc. The quilters approved! Needless to say, I was very happy and know it will only get better with the quilting.
