Stars Coming Up

I found the greatest fabric in my stash that had to go into the chuppah. It was fabric that Joshua had brought me as a present several years ago after a trip to Liberty of London . Little did he envision that this fabric would be in his chuppah!! Perfect colors, perfect theme! And even little Jewish stars! Twenty inches of fabric, so not alot, but I will do my best to use it up!

I had a request for Stars of David to be incorporated into the Chuppah. Easy request you ask? Not necessarily, but I aim to please, so I set out trying to do this as easily as I could. I thought that piecing hexagons, trapazoids and equilateral triangles could be the method that would be the easiest. Ha, ha ..... not so quick, and not so easy. Anyway, I have got one corner done and three more to go.

So now, on to the stars I'm sewing. They require hand sewing to match up all the intersections.

Check out the Liberty of London fabric. Yes, I'm using it - almost all of it.

Three more corners to go, then the finishing. I hope I make it!! Yikes!

I love watching the chuppah in progress, it's absolutely gorgeous.

It's especially impressive when you see the fabric, then the fabric cut into pieces, and then the beautiful finished product!
