Back to the Apricot Jacket

Well, the Big Game has come and gone. We will move on and not talk sports here at this blog - mainly because we all know what the outcome was. UCLA Still Rules!!!!!!!
So this has been a fun week - finishing up the back of the Apricot Jacket - I just have to keep calling it that, even though as my dear daughter pointed out, it was kinda wierd calling a lavendar cardi - "Apricot Jacket." Low and behold, the back looks like it might just fit me. I had some mighty fancy calculations going on - re-working the gauge and enlarging the pattern. I had measured another cardi of mine - and then crossed my fingers and went for it.
Take a look and see what you think.

I have been reading the funniest book ever . If you like to knit or love yarn, this is a must-read book. Check it out: http://www.knittersreview.com/article_book.asp?article=/review/reading/050324_a.asp

I can really identify with just about everything in the book- you name it - from misplacing tape measures, to yarn stashes, to startitis. Once you get the bug, it seems it is addictive to many, not just myself. I wholeheartedly recommend reading this humorous tale of addiction. The only thing I cannot relate to is sock knitting. I just can't understand why someone would spend so much time on socks of all things. Especially when pedicures and sandals are
so much the thing here in southern Cal. Oh well, to each his own thing.

Another re-direction of my hands-on knitting time today. You see, m
y new Interweave Knits arrived in the mail today. This being one of my favorite knitting magazines, I just had to take time out to check it out. I've only skimmed it so far, but know that I will be doing coffee and Interweave Knits tomorrow morning. Always great patterns. If you don't have a subscription, the copies arrive in the stores on the 13th. Check out the index: http://www.interweave.com/knit/interweave_knits/latest_issue_toc.asp\

I hope to be progressing on the fronts later tonight.

Great blog. Just how much "stash do you have?" Do you still have room for your hubby?
