Finished Ripples

The Indigo Ripples Skirt is finished and a great success! I love it and would highly recommend it because the lace and the ripple design was neat. I loved the way the bottom ruffle was designed and the additional curling created by the double bindoff! I haven't washed it yet, so we shall see how much the denim fades and shrinks.

I lengthened the body of the skirt by several inches, and shortened the amount of lace. I only did 50, not 60 rows of lace. It still looks great, and I am very pleased with the amount of skirt fabric and the amount of lace.

You can really see the rippling in the picture, as well as the great ruffle at the bottom. Very clever touch. Actually genius by the by skirt designer, Kat Coyle. Kudos to Kat!

Picturesque photo op in the courtyard.

Good thing I didn't start the lace earlier, or we'd be in trouble for exposure!

All in all, I am thrilled by the way the skirt came out, and I not opposed to doing another skirt. I even knit my first I-cord for the drawstring. Lots of "firsts" here.
