Lilac Spring Bonnet

Another cotton hat from the great book, Last Minute Knitted Gifts. Because is appears that I've been knitting most everything in pink, another color needed to be used. So this beautiful color combination caught my eye and I thought I would try the Lily Sugar & Cream cotton. Lilac, blue, yellow and white makes a perfect spring bouquet.
I whipped out the old crochet hooks and books and found I rather enjoyed crocheting up a pretty flower. I guess I haven't lost my touch. I may re-think my negative feelings about crochet. or a at least put crochet in a slightly better category in my mind than I had. I love the flower and how well the bonnet comes together with the flower. Just the right touch! The I-cord is fromthe same suede yarn as the Uggs.








I included a top shot even though it is a bit blurry, because it made such a nice star at the top.
