This ruffled edge bolero was a pattern that I just had to try out. It's turning out cute, and knitting up fast. I'm knitting the 6-12 month size with Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, which is a DK weight but is short on the row gauge, so I am having to add extra rows. It is very light weight. The fronts are itty bitty and this is definitely a bolero size, not a closed jacket.
The pattern is British, and does not give you a dimensional diagram to view, or even a brief overview on how the pattern is going to be knit. You just have to jump right in and go with it.
