Is it Spring Yet?

The rose petals and spring colors have emerged in the form of "Rose Petal Saartje Booties" which is a beautiful, soft and pretty baby bootie. Finished up tonight. The pattern is being knit all over the world and appears to be the "monkey" of the bootie world. I follow the crowd and could not resist the cuteness of this bootie.

I couldn't decide which photo to share, so I went with three. The colors of the yarn are beautiful and I found great buttons. The yarn is 70% angora, 25% wool, and 5% nylon - a cuddly soft bootie.

Specifics:

Pattern: Saartje's Booties

Needles: 5 DPNS: US #2 (2.75 mm)
Yarn: Louisa Harding Kimono Angora Color #11
Amount Used: hardly anything
Size: 3 3/4" in length (larger of two sizes)
Changes: Knit in the round instead of flat. Did not want to have a seam in the heel, so I converted the booties to DPNs and knitting in the round.

Thank you Saartje for sharing this great pattern. Hats off to you!
