I went to Le Parisienne Knitterie and splurged on some angora wool blend for the body called Lush (Classic Elite Yarns) and really splurged bigtime on real French Angora for the ears.
The actual body is slightly larger than the picture in the book Last Minute Knitted Gifts by Joelle Haverson.
I knit the body in the round and added the arms later. This made more sense to me than knitting the body flat and then having to seam it together.
Here is the lovable Bunny Wabbit. Absolutely adorable!! Even DH thinks it is cute.
I even found stuffing from years ago, when I used to make pillows. It pays to never throw things out, because you never know when it's going to come in handy.
On to the next project:
Superwash DK wool - don't you just love the name - Mama Llama, Pink Lady? I haven't settled on the pattern yet. I thought the hand painted pinks were so pretty.
