SwallowTail Shawl

Take a look at the finished Swallowtail Shawl, knit from Koigu handpainted merino wool. The shawl turned out much smaller than I had expected - more like a large scarf than a shawl. I am not frogging it - No Way frogging it!

  • Yarn: Koigu Merino - 2 1/4 skeins
  • Needles: US#6 and US#7 for binding off
  • Pre-Blocking Dimensions: 20" Center Back, 42" Wide
  • Post Blocking Dimensions: 25 1/2" Center Back, 53" Wide
All in all, I am pleased with the way it turned out. The nupps were not hard for me and I really love the look - I will definitely knit another item with nupps in it. This was my second shawl and I love knitting lace shawls, in fact I have Icarus in progress.
