Recipe for a Quilt Garden

16 Tulips - check
9 Daisies - check
many leaves - check
8 colorful doves - check
8 Hearts - not done
8 roses - not done

Add it all up and you come pretty close to having the 4 corners of a Chuppah to get married under.
I am now ready to commence the stitching on the Love Chuppah for M&B ! All the pieces you see are hand turned under and basted and will be hand appliqued to the sky background. It has been slow and time consuming, but a labor or love. I actually stitched the first tulip down tonight.
I have gone through my fabric stash carefully selecting fabrics that show movement, or are especially interesting that will make the flowers pop.
Close-ups photos to come later.
I am trying to balance all the colors, but I guess everything will come together, because there are all sorts of colors in nature. The more colorful, the better is the way I look at it.
Knitting has not been allowed in this house (at least not for a while). But I did make it to the yarn shop to pick up a knitting pattern. That's about as close to knitting as I can come for a long time.
